She sits in a small, dark, crowded room. She is surrounded by piles of fabric. Shelves cover most of the walls behind her. They are full of containers, bottles, and baskets, perhaps suggesting that this room is a kitchen. At the closest point of the foreground is a rough-edged doorway, creating the impression that the viewer is peering into the room.
