1933.4.1502: Actors Ichikawa Danjūrō VII and His Son Ichikawa Ebizō VI (Danjūrō VIII)
PrintsAn older man with expressive frowning face is seen head and shoulders framed by a boarder He looks down intensely at his son, a young man in the lower left corner who’s squatting in an action pose, gripping a rolled scroll in his right hand, looking up towards his father. Both wear decorative Japanese robes and have dark hair. The background is a gradation of light green at the bottom into deep blue at the top. Vertical calligraphy is rendered in metallic in pigment on the upper left. More calligraphy and artist seal in lower right.
