Clemens Alban Ottenhausen works with the Daimler Curator of the Busch-Reisinger Museum and the curator of the collection. He conducts research on the collections and new acquisitions, especially in the area of modern sculpture. He develops concepts for new displays and presentations as well as strategies for communication and engagement with different audiences. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on the history of documenta (1955), following his long interest in modernism, exhibition history, design, and architecture. Before coming to the Harvard Art Museums, he worked at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), in Berlin.
