Elisa Germán assists the Houghton Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, as well as other curators, to conduct original, scholarly research related to the acquisition, study, curatorial care, and display of the museums’ collection of modern and contemporary drawings. She is currently working with the Maida and George Abrams Curator of Drawings on an upcoming exhibition on American watercolors. She will also contribute an essay to the accompanying catalogue. A specialist in modern and contemporary works on paper, Germán focuses her research on mid- to late 20th-century Spain. She has previously held positions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and serves as president of the Association of Print Scholars.
