A tall, wide-shouldered jar in an inverted pear shape has a flat circular bottom, and a short neck with a wide mouth. The smooth white porcelain is decorated all over in blue painted designs. A thin line circles the top of the neck, and the shoulder at the base of the neck is ringed with a narrow band of repeating curvilinear shapes. The body of the jar is adorned with a painting of chrysanthemums sprouting from the side of a tall thin rock. Grasshoppers perch on its leaves as a butterfly approaches.
