1940.81: Teapot
VesselsA cylindrical silver teapot with an engraved design depicting floral leafy garland, and an oval coat of arms with various symbols in the center. The top and bottom edges of the pot feature a leaf pattern. It has a wooden handle on the left with a small upward curl near the top, attached by silver nails. The spout on the right points right, it has a small section of the same etched floral and leaf pattern along its wider section. The teapot’s lid tapers off upward in two short steps with a pull knob at the top.

- Straight-sided oval with beaded borders, on spreading foot pierced with a band of ovolo, engraved with bright-cut and wrigglework borders, floral and bellflower swags and oval cartouches enclosing, on one side, a coat of arms and, on the other, a crest, with scroll spout and wooden loop handle; the slightly domed hinged cover with oval ivory finial with traces of pigment.
